Two rules apply to every handheld gaming PC, no exceptions: it must power on, and it must be fully signed out of your accounts. A device that will not boot cannot be tested, and one still tied to your Steam or Microsoft account cannot be resold. Sort both before you post, and the rest is easy.

1. Back up your saves. On a Steam Deck, Steam Cloud syncs most saves automatically — confirm it has synced before you wipe. On a Windows handheld, back up anything local to your Microsoft account or an external drive.
